Any body out there have any comments about a 1990 New Holland L-555 Deluxe Skid Steer? Good / Bad / Indifferent? I was looking for several weeks for a nice, used, skid steer for around the house and farm. I went and looked at a l555 New Holland today. we don't know the exact year but he says its late 80's. first appearances looked decent. 1300 hours paint is fair for the age, dosent look like it sat out or has been painted. tires are approx. 50% all held air but were weather checked some. is leaking engine oil, looks to be from the rocker cover . just finished up a 730 mile round trip and came back with the New Holland L553 skid steer. Machine seems pretty basic from what I am used to dealing with which is a breath of fresh air. Now to get it cleaned up, purchase and install new battery and pull both lift cylinders to rebuild them to start.
