asv skid steer reviews The list price I was given was 85K.I feel too much for a skid steer, add a mulch head for 23K and it's 108K (basicly a Supertrac TL150). If I'm going to spend that much I'm going bigger with a custom mulcher, it's almost double the cost but should out work the skid steer 2-1 and hold up for the long run and in turn make more money. My understanding is excavators in general take a fair amount of maintenance and I don't want to fight a non-existent supply line for something that should be a relatively simple fix. I am watching CL and FB Marketplace but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

ASV has a Perkins engine, turbo, 99.5 HP. The ASV is the only one I've operated, so I can't make a comparison. ASV if plenty strong, and fast. Easy daily maintenance. Cab space is tight, but not bad. Cramped, but comfortable. Cab is POORLY sealed and gets really dusty.

Drive: fast, comfortable and 85% accurate. The old push pull sticks on the 1845C or the NW always seemed to be dead nuts. The pilot of the ASV are great, easy and you can be precise to the limits of the pilot which again is pretty darn good. Were other pilots better? Maybe, but I couldn't quantify how much better if any.
I rented a RC30 a week ago. I was impressed. I have used Bobcat skidsteers before. This machine worked really well. The ground was a bit moist, and I fear a skid steer would have made a mess. This RC30 dug well, had little slippage, and worked well with damp ground. I rented it(two days) to get an idea what it would run like. It was smooth! Almost all of the underside lugs have been chipped/broken off on the inside. Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy my first tractor. I'm looking at the Kubota 2920 (or 2630/3030 if good used one comes along) or an ASV RC30 tracked skid steer.
I think the MD70 is a good overall machine but it may have some smaller issues. The MD70 has done well for several contractors and indeed was the inspiration behind the RTSS undercarriage found on the current series of machines.
Bill, tempting @ the local price for Polaris asl 300. Too small for me.Hellava value now. They will sell now! I almost got one for ,900. Prolly should. Dont know of anybody that got one.
