FInally worked on my 257 to see what was wrong with aux hydraulics, had local mechanic that had cat software to check catmastertech Field service technician for CAT 19 years. I picked up a new to me CAT 277B with only 1,300 hours on it, but unfortunately aux hydraulics and 2-speed are not working. I’ve chased the aux hydraulic problem, and have found the following: Proportional switch is functional .The switch tells the auxiliary hydraulic ECM that the operator wants to disable the auxiliary hydraulic circuit and the high flow control. The switch also tells the interlock ECM that the operator wants to disable the work tool.

Everything seemed fine and I put it away. About 2 weeks later went to use it again and it starts fine but hydraulics won't engage and nothing on display flashes to help aid in diagnososis. Most of the insrument warning lights won't work Parking brake is always dark and doesn't light up after engaging or trying to disengage it.
