Opinions on New Holland L218/220 skidloaders??? I know the first ones had a bad wrap with oil pressure issues. Supposedly this is fixed up on newer models. I've looked at every brand and keep coming back to NH's. Users share their experiences and opinions on the New Holland L218 skid steer, a model with lower lift capacity than the L220. Some report problems, others are satisfied, and some compare with other brands. I want to add a second skid steer around here so I can put my L565 at a different farm and am looking mainly at L175's but I see L218's are not that much more. Are the L218's epic POS's or what? From what I have looked at online I could gain 5 years for a couple grand more. After considerable research, experimentation and debate we leased 8 New Holland L220 skid steer loaders in the fall of 2011, and a sub contractor purchased a Case SR175 this summer. We also utilize another 7 Bobcats from a 751 to an S300.
